I am Edna Smith of EMS Designs and live in Chester, Virginia. I have been digitizing for over 2 years now, while learning it for about four years. I am totally hooked on it. I was very hesitant about selling my designs, as I had no confidence, until all my friends convinced me to do it.

I've taken art and photography classes at the local college for about 15 years and wanted to put those years to good use so digitizing is my expression of my art. I started digitizing with PE Design Version 2 and Version 4 and then started using Artista Version 3 and Version 4 when I got my new machine and then really got serious with digitizing. Most of my designs are my own artwork. My Dad was a professional photographer and sometimes I use his pictures to digitize from. My Dad is not alive anymore but his pictures keep him in my memory.

I have been married to the most supportive husband for 11 years and I have 7 grown kids and 12 grandchildren (4 of my own and 8 of my husband's which makes them all ours) and cherish every moment with them. I worked as a hair designer but now I'm starting a new life of retirement with my new career of digitizing.
